A new way to see Stari Grad Plain with boat hire in Croatia

Exploring the many islands scattered along the Dalmatian coast is a great way to see some of this area’s beautiful countryside, with boat hire in Croatia a popular holiday option. If you are visiting the stunning island of Hvar, renting a bike will allow you to explore some of the delightful Stari Grad Plain.
Hvar Old Town is located right on the edge of the island and offers some charming coastal cycle routes. Stop off at one of the many beaches to rest your legs between stretches, or the village of Brusje − a four-mile ride from Hvar − is the perfect place to see the island’s famous lavender fields. The hot summer months are the best time to view and smell these plants in full bloom.
From Hvar to the ancient town of Stari Grad is a ride of about 14 miles, taking a scenic route across the centre of the island. The Stari Grad Plain is a protected UNESCO site and cycling is a great way to appreciate the rugged beauty of this landscape, with routes for all abilities.
If you would prefer an easier option than riding a regular bicycle, electric bikes are available for hire on the island. These allow you to enjoy exploring the lovely landscape without all the hard work.
