Going on a Greek yacht cruise - Activities to pursue

The island of Santorini has a stunning landscape thanks to the volcanic activity that has shaped much of its terrain. A walk to the top of the mountain here is essential, not only to see the spectacular countryside but also to appreciate the breathtaking panoramic views of the caldera. The eruption of the Santorini volcano has also created a unique opportunity for an unusual health and beauty treatment.

The two smaller islands that have been created within the caldera – Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni – were formed by repeated volcanic eruptions of lava. Nea Kameni has its own crater and you can actually walk around its rim. You can then take a short boat trip to nearby Palea Kameni, which has hot springs and mud baths thanks to its proximity to the volcano. The sulphurous water is said to have a number of healing properties and can be beneficial for those suffering from rheumatism, arthritis and other joint or muscle pains.

Take some time out of your sailing trip to visit these memorable waters for a fun and relaxing way to spend a couple of hours.
