Korcula is one of the most attractive islands to enjoy during sailing holidays in Croatia and there are lots of interesting things to see and do. Make time to enjoy these highlights on your visit.

Sailing in Croatia - Getting around islands

The Old Town, which is sometimes referred to as Little Dubrovnik, has plenty of charming architecture to admire. Be sure to visit the cathedral of St Mark as you explore this lovely mediaeval town before enjoying lunch in one of the many restaurants.

Korcula is also famous for its wine production, so visit one of the local vineyards to sample some locally bottled vintages, including the famous Grk.

The island has plenty of beaches from which to choose, from the popular sandy shores of Vela Przina to the quiet seclusion of Vaja beach in the west. Those of an active nature will find plenty to occupy themselves, with ample windsurfing thanks to the breeze that blows through the channel between the island and the mainland.

Korcula is great to explore on foot or by hiring a bicycle or scooter. It is also possible to take a short boat trip to the nearby island of Badija, where you can admire the impressive Franciscan monastery and enjoy swimming among the quiet pebble beaches.

A trip to Korcula really does have something for everyone, allowing you to enjoy the best this island has to offer.
